Zeynep Akça (she/they) is a Brooklyn-based director, producer, and educator. She is originally from Istanbul, Turkey. She directs and produces a range of work from devised works to musicals. She is currently the Assistant to the Director at An Enemy of The People on Broadway. They are a proud member of Ring of Keys.

As a director, they have worked on many original and published plays and musicals. Some of these include On aWing and a Chair (The Green Room 42), Dangerous Games (Brick Theater: ?! Festival), Twelfth Night (Match:Lit), This is Not What It’s Supposed to Be… (No Exit Theatre Collective), The Argentinian Prostitute Play (Broadway Bound Theater Festival). As a producer, she has worked on The Town of Goldhaven vs. The Dastardly Thornes (The Brick), The Sample Platter (54 Below), [HAMLET curse quote] (The Tank Pride Fest). She is the lead producer of The Hearty Meal and the producing artistic director of No Exit Theatre Collective.

Zeynep is also an educator, running a range of workshops in directing, devising, and applied theater. She is an adjunct lecturer at Baruch College and has previously worked with Underground Skills Exchange, CUNY, New York City Children’s Theater, and TADA! Youth Theater.
